I was wondering if it was possible to connect directly to a device a desktop computer into a slave m5 device? If so, are there settings I need to enable? i tried by plugging in the device in the ethernet cable and no connection...

It should do. I have my server plugged into a slave Deco M5 fine. Is your network card on your computer enabled? Is the cable working elsewhere?
