[ Failed Update ] Archer C20 V5 update failed !
i can't update firmware to latest version/release.
downloaded formware file from my regional download center (INDIA) => url - https://www.tp-link.com/in/support/download/archer-c20/v5/
firmware file url - https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202006/20200630/Archer%20C20(EU)_V5_200526.zip
firmware file release date & other stats (as per official site)

steps followed
- disconnected modem/internet
- extracted XXXX.bin file from XXX.zip file
- disabled wired connection & connected via wire only.
- using internet explorer as per instruction.
- file gets uploaded & then error.
Error -
it gets uploaded & then error code 4503 comes.
the uploaded file was not accepted.

This Archer C20(INWISP) is a customized version for the local ISP market and there is currently no available firmware for it, while the latest firmware on the official website is for the generic version. Even though the hardware of the two are the same, their firmware versions are different and it is not allowed to upload the latest firmware on the official website into your device.
Generally, it is not necessary to upgrade the router firmware if it is currently functioning properly. However, you may provide more details if you've encountered an issue, then we will try to help figure it out.

Can I have a screenshot of the device label which shows the region version of the C20? According to your description, it seems that the hardware might be a customized version by your ISP, which may not be allowed to be upgraded to a generic firmware, but we can confirm it first.

i bought it from amazon india by my self. not provided by any ISP. so it's not possible that it is customized version by my ISP.

Hey Excalibur, in my case its imperitive that I upgrade my firmware as I am having issues with my router. Issue is..the "Power led" just keeps blinking over and over..is there a solution for it.
I've hard-resetted the router as too but to no avail.

@_Excalibur Facing ditto same issue with my router. Exact same error message. I am trying to setup my router as an extender, for that I wanted to upgrade my router firmware but unable to do so.
