Deco X60 - Weak Security (iOS 14 Beta)
Deco X60 - Weak Security (iOS 14 Beta)
Since this morning I get the message "Weak Security" for my Deco X60 network and the above message. Any idea what's going on, and where I can configure these settings? I'm on the latest firmware version and am running iOS 14 Developer Beta 1 on my iPhone 11 Pro.

@TP-Link_Deco Not sure what you're on about. The Deco X60 does have the option to turn on WPA3, it just doesn't do anything. So your developers do not need to add a new feature, they need to fix the existing one.
I understand that I'm running betas on my Apple devices, and that third party software/hardware is not yet optimized for these betas, and yet it requires patience. However, this is an existing feature in the Deco X60 that does not work. The fact older OS versions do not highlight this does not mean it doesn't need to be fixed. As it is currently the existing WPA3 feature on the Deco X60 does not work as it intended.
iOS shows the "Weak Security" warning because even when you enable WPA3, the older and unsecure WPS, WPA and TKIP protocols are still ON. WPS, WPA and TKIP are not secure. Unless TP-Link issues an update that allows Deco users to disable WPA and TKIP, the Weak Security warning will continue to be displayed.
This is a security issue on ALL Deco models.

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your opinions and valued suggestions again, this feature request has been forwarded to the developers with the highest priority and it is suggested to keep an eye on the Deco app or on the TP-Link official website as we will update the information once there are any updates.
Thanks.

You should also consider updating ALL your firmwares - even for Deco P7 - where I get the same warning message on iOS 14 Beta.
The P7 Deco app has no setting for AES or WPA3.
Thanks.

Sure, this feature will be available on the Deco devices, but the firmware would be released on a rolling basis.
Thanks again for your suggestions.
