Im looking to upgrade my now far outdated AV500 that were only up to 100mbps and are 7 years old.

What models are 5GHz compatible outside of dual band power lines, or are only dual-band ones able to connect to 5GHz internet?

Also, what would you suggest I get if I only need up to 500mbps?
My internet is 140mbps on 2.4GHz and 280 on 5GHz and I'm looking to spend less than £80.

I know of the TL-WPA7510 kit which is dual band with no plug through or the TL-PA8010P V2 Powerline Adapter Kit - AV1300, Twin Pack, but not sure on band width or if I can adjust it. But it does have plug through which I might need.

@Swoodward

Hello,

We don't have a product that can only support 5G. If you want to just use 5G, you can disable 2.4G broadcast on the wireless settings.

For the TL-WPA7510 kit, it is a Gigabit port wifi powerline product, more details you can refer to the following link:

https://www.tp-link.com/en/home-networking/powerline/tl-wpa7510-kit/#specifications

If you want to change the wireless settings of it, you can refer to the following FAQ:

Through tpPLC utility: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/1611/

Through web interface: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/1418/

For the TL-PA8010P, this product doesn't have wifi function, so this product may not suitable for you if you want to extend the wifi signal.

Here is a link you can refer to know more about TL-PA8010P:

https://www.tp-link.com/en/home-networking/powerline/tl-pa8010p-kit/#specifications

Hope it can work and have a nice day!
