Model: TD-W9970
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have just installed a w9970 in bridge mode to use with an existing Deco M5 mesh wifi system.

All devices connect and access the internet absolutely fine.

My Deco handles the DHCP, it is currently 192.168.0.2 and assigns ip addresses in the 192.168.0.3-254 range.

I was unable to access the w9970 via the 192.168.1.1 address, I would simply get an error pages.

I changed the ip address of the w9970 to 192.168.0.1. Now when I go to that address I simply get a tplink screen but with no option to login.

I've posted this in the Deco forum as well, as i'm unsure which forum would be best.

Many thanks

@Richyboy1980

Hi, even though you change the LAN IP address of the bridge TD-W9970 to be the same network segment like 192.160.0.1, you can't enter the management page of it.

Since the Deco is the NAT device now, your wireless/wired devices can't across the NAT device directly to access the bridge modem's management page.

Besides, the bridge modem only takes effect of transfer the signal from telephone to Ethernet, your Deco devices get internet from the ISP directly.

If you want to enter the bridge modem's management page, you need to disconnect the Deco device and the modem first, connect your wireless/wired devices to the bridge modem directly to check if you can enter.
