Archer AX6000 Firmware upgrade ruined everything. Cant go back?
Hi bought the Archer AX6000 and i was happy enough with it. NO real issues.
Yesterday I got an update for firmware, which i did using the Routers inbuilt tool.
Then the problems began.
I couldnt reconnect any of my Google Home speakers each complaining the Netowrk was in AP mode, which is clearly wasnt.
I factory reset the router and started from scratch which took a considerable ammount of time but i still cannot get the home network back to its pre Firmware upgrade state.
All day yesterday your support site was offline for me which is pretty unacceptable, there was no way i could get the old Firmware downloaded so....
I eventually gave up and today have downloaded the 2 previous official EU firmwares. 2020/02/12 and 2019/08/02.
Unzipped them and connected to the router via rj45 to flashback to the previous version... Its not the first time i do firmware i know what im doing.
AND... Nope it just says nope. cannot do it. It wont accept an older file?
Please i am so fed up with this damn router.
I thought id be upgrading to a decent wifi6 experaince with everything i need for the next 5 years but nope its a massive pain in the arse to be honest and im regrettting the purchase.
I cant even find patch notes on the firmware that got updated.... its like its a ghost release
PLEASE PLEASE
Help !

I have a similar issue - since I have upgraded to firmware 1.1.0, Build 20200427 rel.80857.
I *can* cast from my phone to my ChromeCast Ultra and the ChromeCast Audio that are *both connected to my wired LAN*. I *cannot* see the other Google devices that I have on my network - they are all *connected to the WiFi*.
If I open the Google Home app on my phone, and got to the settings for my WiFi Connected Smart Display it says "Cannot see Kitchen display on this Wi-Fi network. Check that it's online and that your phone or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network. My AX6000 is in "access point" mode. It's like it is isolating WiFi clients from SSDP or some other broadcasts that allow my devices to be discovered.

Im sorry i dont have time to sit about anymore waiting for hours of fault finding.
I was just amazed that i couldnt roll back the firmware by simply reflashing to a previous stable version.
If you can find a fix for that great please tell me the logical instruactions to follow to make sure 100% im not doing something ridiculous.
Its an EU model and i followed Your website directions from the /SE/ swedish support site and downloaded the latest there firmware. EU FIRMWARE.
the bin file is named ax6000v1_us-up-ver1-0-7-P3[20200212-rel7095]_sign_2020-02-12_15.01.07 *US firmware" ???
Is this the issue with the incompatability?
Please fix this nonsense. Ive reverted back to my Trusty ancient linksys ac1900 and it took back with minimal effort and only having to set up every google device again......once.
clearly a huge problem with this mystery firmware you pushed to the EU V1. AX6000
We are both working from home, im an idiot for updating firmware during these times but wat can i say.... dont expect this much of a balls up.
I move house in August, i really wanna be able to rebuild the network there using this Hardware at the core but im seriously doubting......

And, it's mysteriously "fixed" for me.
Things I did:
I rebooted the AX6000
I changed the settings in the "Guest Network" tab:
- put a tick in Allow Guests to Access Each Other, clicked Save
- unticked the "Enable Guest Network", clicked Save
(This was even though I wasn't connected to the guest network).
One of my Google Assistants needed to be power cycled as it was not (re)connected to WiFi.
I moved my phone closer to the access point and used the Google Home app to view the Google Chromecast and Assistant device settings.
Everything is now working as I expected. I've reversed the guest network settings, and moved back to my office that is at the edge of WiFi range, and everything is still working well. Annoying, but at least I've avoided having to do a factory reset :D

I had the same issue
No wifi connection with several devices.
After 2 reboots all works fine now.
No dropouts of 5G and better signal.
For now i am happy (finally) with this new firmware.

one thing that helped my 2.4ghz clients was to change the mode from 802.11b/g/n/ax mixed to 802.11b/g/n mixed
my phone kept dropping connection and a laptop couldnt even connect. now all is good, just leave ax on 5ghz

Good to know.
I wish this would fix my problem, but all my 2Ghz devices are connecting just fine.
It is the 5Ghz devices that keep dropping connection or wont connect at all.

I'm having the same issues reported in this thread since upgrading to 1.1.0 Build 20200427 rel.80857.
For my use case I don't really need the 2.4 Ghz network so I tried disabling it and forcing the Channel Width and Channel settings.
This config as been stable for around 24 hours with a mix of 802.11ac and 802.11ax devices, like Macbook Pros, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone XS, and they've all maintained connectivity and speeds since these changes. I haven't tried increasing the Channel Width yet.
