Deco M5 satellite node always connecting to master node instead of a nearer satellite node
I have a Deco M5 mesh network with one master node and 2 satellite nodes, say satellite_node_1 and satellite_node_2.
The node satellite_node_1 has good signal from the master node and no issues here.
And my node satellite_node_2 is nearer to the satellite_node_1. But still it is always getting connected to the master node which is more far, and thus having weaker signal.
How can I make my satellite_node_2 connect to satellite_node_1 instead of the master node?
Regards

Try rebooting Satellite_node_2. It should connect to Satellite_node_1.
If not, try repositioning Satellite_node_1 and/or 2 in such a way that Satellite_node_2 detects a stronger signal. (See picture for signal strength.)

@DiceKey I have the same problem and moving closer to the nearest node (node1) doesn't help cause that means I have to unplug node2 and closer to node1 still connects to master node. There really should be a way to manually change this.

@TP-Link same issue as well but have 6 deco's that need to daisy chain but refuse to! Support suggested I factory reset slave 2 then connect slave 2 to slave 1 using an Ethernet cable. Verified it was connected via cable and then disconnected. Slave 2 then reconnected directly to the main deco again ignoring slave 1. Interested in getting beta for manual selection?
