To Tp-link Admins - When we will receive a new firmware for Archer C6
I'm asking this question about the fu**ing router you're selling, and more specifically Archer c6. As you can see in the forum, every second topic is a problem with the router in question, and so far there is no answer from you that the issue is being worked on. So I'm interested in whether you will be able to fix the mess you mixed with the new firmware versions and when will this happen?

1.3.1 - beta fixed the stability problems I has on my laptop (high latency/ping spikes, wifi on laptop works as expected) and it's been quite good, bit I think 1.2.1 was better.
1.3.4 - doesn't fix anything. Same as before (1.3.0) for the high ping spikes every 7-8 seconds or so. It only happens with my laptop, which has a Realtek card. On my iPad and iPhone I didn't notice any difference...
I was literally on the verge of returing my laptop because I was almost sure it wasn't the router... thank god for these threads.

My smartphone and tv on 5ghz works well, I have a problem mainly with Archer T4U, on the realtek chipset, I think it is disturbed by this hidden network from OneMesh added from 1.3.0. I understand, if there was a problem with a third-party device, both are tp-link. I see such solutions for myself. 1 - change the wifi card on another chipset 2- change the router 3- change the router software to openwrt or somehow return to 1.2.1. Because of the virus, I have financial problems, so I choose 3 and never update my router again. 1.3.4 even the foothills worsened even 2.4ghz, it only helped to narrow the band to 20mhz. Thank you for the answers, best regards

I've been using firmware v1.3.4 for nearly 24 hours now and it still has issues with the WiFi dropping devices just like v1.3.0 introduced. I can see this as DHCP lease requests on the C6 occurring more or less every minute! The issue is happening with WiFi devices on 5GHz (LG V20 and iPhone 11 Pro phones) and 2.4GHz (Nintendo Switch).
I wouldn't care so much if we could roll-back to pre v1.3.0 but we can't.
TP-Link if you are reading this take note... never release partially tested firmware that can't be rolled-back!

I've had to reload the Beta Firmware ArcherC6v2_eu-up-ver1-3-1-P1[20200507-rel34028]_beta onto my C6. As mentioned above the ArcherC6v2_eu-up-ver1-3-4-P1[20200512-rel51608]" WiFi is completely unstable. I'm considering returning the C6 and buying another brand at this point.

I have also restored beta 1.3.1, it works, but it's beta and I will also change the router

@Keytex The issue with firmware 1.3.0 onwards is with the load on the device. Dunno what type of people they are employing as programmers and QA, but it seems to be a random select... On 2.4GHz the wifi is batsh*t crazy and on 5GHz it either drops or massively (3.5 seconds) delays the response due to the loadout on the device which gets to the 100 %, then packet is dropped and again we go. TP link has always been a bad company for anything, did wanted to give them another try after many years just ot find out nothing has changed.

@Croolman Hello,
My experience in the last two days is almost the same, 2.4 G is a bit better, but at times it has the same problems as before, I've been waiting a long time for the firmware update, but it's not what I expected. As of today, the tp-link routers are a closed door for me, I will try to sell this and look for another brand in the future.

@Keytex They removed te latest fw from the website, at least in my region. Maybe they finally realised the fw has bugs... maybe

I was sent a new BETA from TP-Link Tech Support ArcherC6v2_eu-up-ver1-3-6-P1[20200611-rel33480] and have been using it for 5 days. So far it seems completley stable, which is a huge relief!

I can not confirm that, yesterday I tested the 1.3.6 again with my Backup Archer C6V2 and after 3-4h the first 2.4 Ghz devices lost their connection again. My Nest hello doorbell lost connection several times an hour, the shelly smart home devices disconnect and no longer go online. Also the Yeelight lamps. The remote appointment I had yesterday with the support did not take place. Nobody has answered.
I ordered a Xiaomi Redmi AC2100 for testing.
