Model: AP200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 0.8.0 v500b.0 Build 191293

I have been trying to configure the Archer xr500v GPON router to replace the ONT provided by the ISP (Movistar) and use with another router (possibly in bridge mode). But I am unable to achieve any kind of configuration, not even folowing the manual, as the advanced settings tab is unaccesible from the web interface (see attached screenshot).

I have not modified the router's operation mode, as that is not even possible with the available settings.

I have tried resetting the device many times, using different browser (Firefox, Edge and Safari), and accessing through multiple computers with diverse OSs (Windows 10, Mac OS x and Arch Linux). The result is always the same: no advanced settings tab at all.

Am I missing something? I'm starting to consider the possibility that the something in the device (possibly the firmware) is faulty. I have thought about reinstalling the firmware, but it does not seem to be available on Tp-Link's support page.

I apologize for having this post listed for the wrong model. Apparently, the Archer xr500v is not displayed among the possible models on this community.

@ovo Yes, I got a solution from TP-Link's support. For these settings to be available you need to login as admin. A different user and password is required for this.

username: administrator

password: TPAdministrator

Once logged in with this credentials, the advanced settings tab will be available. You can also (and possibly should) modify the administrator password.

Anyway, don't expect being able to achieve very detailed configurations. Even with the advanced tab available, this is not the most configurable router (I'm no expert, though). In fact, even if you can find it in some retail shops, this model was not made for end users, but for service providers. I ended up returning it and getting an Archer C5. Good model on the same price range and with nice settings options. It's even compatible with OpenWrt in case more complex configurations are needed. I'm quite happy with it.

Had to keep the ISP's ONT, but replacing those is usually a difficult task.

@ngmoviedo My Tp link Archer xr500v running above 60c, is it a problem? What about your xr500v temperature?

No idea, sorry. As I said, I ended up returning it and getting an Archer C5, which fitted my needs better.
