Hello everyone's TP-Link Community !

I'm here to submit you a problem with my Archer C6 router. I'm not sure but i think this problem could affect all the Tp-Link router.

But I begin by the beginning smiley. My ISP is Orange France, and i have a fiber connection which works well with the standard "Livebox", the ISP's Box. It's a GPON network.

Orange use the VLAN 832 for internet (and the 840 for TV and zapping, but it's not the goal this thread). Formerly Orange used the VLAN 835 for PPPoE authentification, but it's over now with the fiber and no more used.

I would liked to replace the ISP's box by my proper equipement, so i bought a GPON terminal the TX-6610 (v4) and an Archer C6 (v2).

The GPON terminal seems to connect correctly the GPON fiber (statut : registered). But the heart of the problem is the internet connection.

I'm not engineer so i will try to explain you the issue like i can.

Orange use the RFC 3118 DHCPv6 authentification on the VLAN 832 only. This type of authentification is very hard to establish with a router which run Linux only for the moment.

It's also called reverse engineering

The Archer C6 ( or an another model ) have only PPPoE, Dynamic IP, L2TP, PPTP, BigPond Cable, Static IP.

So i's impossible to configure the connection like it's must be. To connect internet (WAN), the authentification is initied by a little file named "Token" which contain the necessary informations in sort of hexadecimal format, so an exemple :

/ipv6 dhcp-client option

# option sagem :
add code=16 name=class-identifier value=0x0000040e0005736167656d

# option SVDSL_livebox.Internet.softathome.Livebox3 :
add code=15 name=userclass        value=0x002b46535644534c5f6c697665626f782e496e7465726e65742e736f66746174686f6d652e6c697665626f7833

# option 'short version' fti/<your_id_Orange> :             >>>  the short version is no more used by Orange  !!!
# replace XXX...... par fti/<your_id_Orange> in hexa
add code=11 name=authsend         value=0x0000000000000000000000XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

I try my best to make you understand, and show you that it's impossible to use the TP-Link router anymore, or you can guide me to a TP-Link Router which i can configure the WAN DHCP settings like that.

I don't wait for any answer but i hope, it will help and inform.

Thanks.
