AX50 lags in online gaming
So I received my AX50 today. Been using the MikroTik hAP ac² with no issues ever, however ever since setting up the AX50 my computer has lag spikes in every single game (Counterstrike GO, Gwent, etc). I have prioritized gaming on the QoS but it still perists. My wife is also connected to the router and she doesnt experience this (we are both on LAN). Any suggestions?

i have the same issues on all released firmware
a. Qos doesnt help prioritize packets for gaming over streaming
b. High packet loss 5 feet away from router or upstairs or next room on 2.4ghz and 5.2ghz
c. High bufferbloat/ping spikes
d. Signal strength is 90 , 5 feet away or upstairs.
e. Pinging the router you will see spikes 5ms 5ms 150ms 450ms 5ms etc
I regret purchasing the product along with the tp link ax network adapter which was just a rebranded intel ax200 chip.
super bummed, hard to get support from tplink they eventually just stop responding to your tickets
tether qos doesnt seem to work at all but even without streaming there is lag

Same issue faced here.. Just set up my AX50 today. When using for normal web browsing everything is fine.
However, online gaming, lag spikes every few seconds. I am already connected via Ethernet. Can't be a game client issue as well since I experience the lag spikes both on Dota (Steam) and Overwatch (Blizzard).
I've also turned QoS to Game Mode.. but to no avail.

Basically what happens in game is that I see ping at 5ms then randomly spiking to 20+ 30+ ms every few seconds.
Here is my cmd image of pinging the router:
The spiking is really bad.. hopefully there's a fix to this :(

That is the exact issue I have had on all firmware and tweaking every wifi setting, even 2 feet from router.
Pining the router there are spikes every 5-10 seconds, making online gaming a crapshoot.
i am going to try an asus triband router instead

4 months later, using 1.09 fw version, and I'm having the exact same issue.
This can't be normal.

Hello all, thanks a lot for the details you've provided, and sorry to respond late.
Can you please help confirm if the ping spikes only when you are playing the online games? Please show us the ping results if you just restart both the AX50 and your computer, DON'T play any online games or downloading, Will that be normal or it is the same?
Please also tell us the model number of your wireless adapter on that computer as well as the driver version. You may get to Device Manager->Network Adapters->find the one which is connected to the AX50, then go to Properties->Driver.
Thanks a lot~
