Model: Deco M4  
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.8 build 20190917 rel. 76172

Deco system set in Access Point mode.

 

Open the mobile app, see the "OVERVIEW" page.

All the connected clients are listed in the Device List.

The upload / dowload indicators, in Kbps, do not show any real traffic data, they display zero.

The same if I go the single access point page, where the two big Download / Upload indicators stay on zero, and cannot display the current device throughput 

 

If deco system is in Router mode, the indicators are working.

I got a reply via support chat: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/250618 not too helpful - it's not supposed to work, so it seems.
