Model: Archer C7
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.0.11

My configuration is as such:

  1. "Rest of the Internet"
  2. Infrastructure-First-Node-After-ISP's-Modem
  3. ISP's Modem
  4. ISP's Router
  5. My Archer C7 (in Router mode - NOT Access Point)

if node #2 is accessible but node #1 ("Rest of the Internet") is NOT - then I cannot access the HTTP interface of node #4 (ISP's Router).

In that case, my Archer C7 redirects me to an error page "WAN error" - such that I cannot login to my Archer C7.

This is rediculous also because that traceroute shows that node #2 returns a response!

I should be able to connect to the HTTP interface of any node past my Archer C7 regardless of whether Archer C7 detects an internet connection or not.

This should be fixed.

I would appreciate an official response from a TP-Link employee.

@Kevin_Z

Could you please help?

@Nn7

May I verify your network stretch again? Is it like below? Is there any switch in this network?

ISP modem (LAN)---(WAN) ISP router (LAN)---(WAN) Archer C7 (---stands for the ethernet cable)

Please show us what are the IP settings on these three devices and we will help verify if you need to change any setting.

Yes, this was the configuration ( = "network stretch").

The IP Settings were valid (notice that traceroute worked well).

I'm familiar with networking.

Currently, the quoted configuration doesn't exist (I changed it).

Here's an example of the IP Settings (taken from my memory):

ISP Router WAN: Some public IP Address

ISP Router LAN: 192.168.1.1/24

Archer C7 LAN: 192.168.0.1/24
