Archer C6 V2 Firmware 1.3.0 EU - WiFi drops every few minutes after firmware upgrade
Hi,
I've updated my Archer C6 (v2.0) UK router to the latest firmware (1.3.0 Build EU 20200402 rel.52000). I'm fairly sure the old version was 1.2.1. After upgrading I've noticed all wireless (5Ghz & 2.4Ghz) clients randomly and continuously get dropped from the WiFi (I can see this happening on the devices and in the router's System Logs as DHCP requests). The drop affects one or more devices, every 1 or 2 minutes.
After discovering the problem I tried changing most settings to match those on https://emulator.tp-link.com/c6-eu-v2/index.html just to make sure it's not my configuration.
Is anyone else finding this issue with their C6 router using the new firmware?
The firmware release notes also say it's not downgradable, is this true?

For those who encounter issues with the wireless connection of the Archer C6, ensure you are running the latest official firmware first. If the issue persists, please verify what's the exact issue in detail, provide some basic info as follows:
1. Is the 2.4G wireless unstable or 5G unstable or all 2.4G/5G/Wired connections are all having issues?
2. If it is the 2.4G wireless that having an issue (disconnect/limited connection/no internet access etc.), try to disable the Smart Connect on its web interface and modify the wireless settings, such as wireless channel, channel width, which would help in some cases:

3. If modifying the wireless settings on the router doesn't help much, customers may try to update the firmware we provided in the following thread, then disable the Onemesh feature on the router to monitor the connectivity and stability:

Looks like this firmware has multiple bugs, channel assignment issues being discussed over here:

I have the same thing, I contacted support, write too, let them know that the problem is with different people. As far as I know they are working on it. I did some tests, some I posted on the forum here. https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/205484?page=2

Thanks for posting. Just to let you know I've tried the Beta Firmware (Archer C6(EU)_V2_200507 - 1.3.1) and my issue with the WiFi dropping has stopped.

Hi
I also had the same problems with this beta version.
Without any provision for a new OEM version by TP-LINK, I installed OPENWRT and then installed OEM version 1.2.1 again, this seems to me the most stable of all for me.
best regards
