Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 3.16.0 0.9.1 v6015.0 Build 190627 Rel.41124n

Dear members -

In India, i recently got TPlink Archer C5 v4. Surprisingly, i dont find this model name onn the TPlink list.

My issue is with the 5GHZ wifi signal. 5GHZ signal drops every 5 to 12 mins and reconnects again. I am also connected via 2.4ghz via same router and dont face any such issue at 2.4ghz. This issue starts as soon as i am on 5ghz. I have 5ghz on auto channel and channel width as 20MHZ and 2.4ghz on channel 11 and channel width at 40MHZ. I have tried 5GHZ at different channels and channel width but result has been the same of frequent signal dropping.

Can someone please help me guide? Thanks for your help.

@PB1 I also see an issue where all of a sudden I get a incorrect password error for the 5ghz connection and after few minutes it just auto connects with the same password.

@PB1 Good afternoon!
Did you try to update the router's firmware to the latest firmware?

@estevao_macedo I am also facing the same issue couple of times in a day and wifi works fine with 2.4GHz. To fix this temporarily, I have to reboot the router or change some value (i.e. remove password, reenter it, save it) and revert it then it starts to work for some time.

Here is the router information-

Device Information

Firmware Version: 3.16.0 0.9.1 v6015.0 Build 190226 Rel.23566n

Hardware Version: Archer C5 v4 00000004

The software download link you have provided is for Bulgaria / Български език and I am unable to locate this model in my country's TP-link website. Please assist.

Thanks,

Akhilesh

@PB1

Archer C5 v4 are manufactured on ISP request,

I don't see any firmware downloadable in indian region. I tried contacting tp-link customer-care, no luck

ISP also do have a clue to solve this issue.

I planning to force update the Bulgaria fixed firmware because it cannot be updated in the usual way because of firmware ar region specific and void warranty

Please anyone let me know, if you found a solution before i get into this madness.
