Powerline 500 does not work in some sockets

I have 2 poweline 500 gigbit adapters, but when I plu it into the socket behind my TV they do not connect. When I bring the device nearer to the one connected to the router it works, but only slowly - 11Mbps
Even when the device is working in a nearer socket, it sometimes drops out
