Deco M9 Plus - Wireless security / Lack of options
Deco M9 Plus - Wireless security / Lack of options
I am having issues on newer Android devices that will not allow voice-over-wifi (VoWiFi) when the access point allows WPA2-TKIP. Giving the vulnerabilities with TKIP, I think this is very reasonable. The issue is that there doesn't appear to be a way to disable this in the Deco software (both TKIP and AES are presented to clients).
VoWiFi is critical for us, so I would like to know there is anything I can do to rectify it.

@TP-Link_Deco.
Thanks. So, I was able to update using the web interface from my PC, however, nothing in the app seems to have changed. I see no options anywhere to choose AES over TKIP.

I have been waiting for the "beta" for the WP2 to go from beta to "final." Has anyone heard if this update will be taken seriously at some point to be pushed out to the OTA update queue? I've never been one to jump on a beta on a whim and especially when security happens to be what is being tested ;)

In Deco app open More/WiFi and check what is says under Security. Should say WPA2-PSK[AES]. If not, touch it and it'll give you an option to change the setting.
