Hello,
Please try to download the latest firmware from the below website and unzip it, then you will find a .bin file, which is the firmware you need to select when updating:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/deco-e4/#Firmware
Then refer to the instructions on this link https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/stories/detail/672 to update it.
If the problem remains, tell me the error message and we will check it ASAP.

@TP-Link_Deco Help. I did the same thing. Can you send the link to the correct the correct firmware?
I was able to find this link and followed the instructions: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/stories/detail/672
I got the router to start blinking yellow and was able to connect using the IP 192.168.0.1
The firmware I have downloaded and updated with are:
- Deco E4R_V1_190422
- Deco E4R_V1_190823
Both bricked the router and it was stuck after update and reboot with a solid yellow light. Please help.

@TP-Link_Deco this is the firmware version that the router comes with and no where on the internet the firmware could be found.
I have wasted i dont know how many hours looking for this firmware version and it is absolutely no where on the internet. Please upload this firmware version. thank you.

In your case, please keep the current firmware, this firmware is the first firmware on your Deco and it's already the latest one, so you do not need to change the firmware.
If there is a new firmware released, you can update to the new firmware via the Deco app or web UI.

@TP-Link_Deco I have the very same problem. My other Decos E4R (US) in the app say:
Firmware Version: 1.4.2 Build 20200727 Rel. 49069.
No matter what I do, after the Deco E4R gets the firmware uploaded and applied, then it remains in solid yellow and nothing else happens.
@TP-Link_Deco could you share the link to the latest firmware (that will match my other Decos?)
In case you are wondering, I have the 3x packet.
Thanks!
