Router Archer C6 disconnects 2.4 Ghz
Hello, I have connection problems with the Archer C6 since I bought it. I have updated it to the latest available version but the failure continues.
I am going to comment on the problem, the 5Ghz network works wonders without fail and never fails, but the 2.4Ghz disconnects continuously, I already tried putting the channels in auto, setting them fixed, changing the width and nothing solves it.
Investigating I found a forum in Spain, where in February of this year (2020) people with the same failure manage to solve it with the last update of January 2020, since they comment that the previous firmware has bugs in the 2.4 network.
The problem I have is that I use high channels with this firmware, I suppose that updating to a European firmware those functions would be limited.
Does anyone know how to solve the problem? or we will have to wait for that firmware to arrive on this side (US).

Do you use firmware C6 V2 200110 now?
If it only occurs on 2.4GHz, I doubt that it may be related to the wireless interference on the environment.
You can try to set the channel width as 20MHz, it will reduce the interference and provide a stable wireless connection.

@Steven.Zhang Perfect i m going to try changing the width ti 20mhz. I use the one from December (latest firmware available for the US), but investigating I saw that people in the EU with this problem solved it with the firmware from January, not available to the US yet

Same problem here, i tried changing channel and width to 20mhz with no luck.
Did you fix it?
Someone from tplink knows if will be a firmware for the US router?

@Artifact If you fix it by buying a router of another brand, specifically ASUS. From TP Link support they never responded and over the days there are more users with the same problems in Archer C6. Abandoned we have users, it will be a long time before I buy TP Link again.

Try the below links from the forum to see if it'll help. It will take trial and error, but using an app to analyze the wifi signals around you and perhaps separating each band to its own SSID might help troubleshoot.

Hi,
I have similar problem which also occurs on the WiFi of my Freebox Révolution. I discovered, it may be caused by iPad or iPhone devices.
I will try, connecting all Apple devices on the 5G band and I will leave the other devices on the 2.4G band.
This problem seems not happen on Netgear WN3000RP repeaters and access points.

Man, I have been a TP-Link customer since forever and decided to upgrade to a C6 V2 and it has been nothing but headaches. I will really reconsider my choices before buying or recommending a TP-Link product again.
Every device on my network is recurringly dropping from the 2.4G connection and the connection doesn't work until I restart the router, despite having the latest build available installed (1.1.5 Build 20191112 rel.36515(5553))
