AX50/AX3000 : Slow upload speeds in AC, AX modes @5GHz
Hi,
I noticed that the actual upload speeds with my router AX50/AX3000 appear to be slower to what I could get with my RE650 (used separately in AP mode), except for the 9260NGW in AC mode at 80MHz.
Here're the speeds I measured with iperf3 on an HP Elitebook 820G3 laptop running Windows 10 64bits 1909 with 2 different cards at 5GHz (both with the latest intel driver) on the power supply (max peformance parameter).
NB : the laptop was about 3.5m away from the router, without any obstacles
when the laptop is connected to the AX50 router with a cable I get the following actual speeds : 930Mbps (download), 950Mbps (upload)
Wi-Fi card - connection mode (Router) | Download (Mbps) | Upload (Mbps) |
---|---|---|
9260NGW - AC 80 MHz (TP-Link RE650) | 530 | 610 |
AX200NGW - AC 80 MHz (TP-Link RE650) | 650 | 650 |
9260NGW - AC 80 MHz (TP-Link AX50) | 625 | 590 |
AX200NGW - AC 80 MHz (TP-Link AX50) | 660 | 400 |
AX200NGW - AX 80 MHz (TP-Link AX50) | 680 | 400 |
9260NGW - AC 160 MHz (TP-Link AX50) | 730 | 300* |
AX200NGW - AC 160 MHz (TP-Link AX50) | 700 | 250* |
AX200NGW - AX 160 MHz (TP-Link AX50) | 840 | 250 |
(*) in AC 160MHz mode, sometimes the upload results are much lower than this (the transmission speed drops to 0 Mbps...)
What do you think of that ?
Best regards,
Chris
