Deco M5 Intermittent internet connection issues
Deco M5 Intermittent internet connection issues
Hi,
I have been having issues with my DECO's losing internet.
- I have NBN FTTC, the NBN device appears to be connected.(this device has also been power cycled.)
- The red light is Flashing slowly on the remote DECO's and solid on the main DECO when the internet is lost
- Cannot acces through the app when this happens.
- No indication to what is causing the problem.
- I have power cycled the devices and left off for 10mins
- Operation mode is Router.
Currently it is working and am awaiting a call back from my ISP.

@Rioja hey, how did you roll back the firmware version to the one before 1.4.4?

Good morning. The current firmware is 1.4.4. For me it works reasonably well in router mode. And having the wifi of the router-modem of your internet provider turned off.
Greetings and Health

@DanDCon I have the same problem. In my case there were something wrong with the 2,4 GHz Band. So I created a Guest 5G only in the Deco and take one deco very close to my laptop.

@DanDCon I also had a punctual loss of internet when i updated to firmware 1.4.4 and some abandonment of wifi in the smartphone. I have downgraded the firmware and go back to beta 1.4.2. These errors never occurred whit the previous firmware.

I am having the same issues as everyone here and after numerous emails they are advising updating to the 1.4.4 beta firmware.
I have already told them that I am already on this firmware but they insist I should still update to the very same software.
Current setup is Draytek Vigor 130 connected in full bridge mode entering the PPPOE settings into the Deco App.
I am then using 2 Deco M5s in Router Mode..
Bothe are V3(eu) on 1.4.4 build 20200221 release 65392.

Good morning, the issue is that 1.4.4 is not the beta firmware. The beta firmware is 1.4.2. Greetings and cheers

@DanDCon , i have the latest fw 1.4.7 and I am facing this issue as well. My troubleshooting shows that, my problem, is related with ipv6. When I don't use it I don't have this problem. If I enable ipv6 I have many issues. I think you can check if your ipv6 is enabled. If you can, you could disable ipv6 and see if it's solve the problem.

@DanDCon
is it possible the problem comes from the wifi interference ?
since the Deco mesh not allowed us to custom our channel range and bandwidth.
mine Deco m4,
cause intermittent connection which caused by signal interference from our neighbour.
