Archer C1200 v2.0 random reboot
Archer C1200 v2.0 random reboot
Router info:
Hardware Version: Archer C1200 v2.0
Firmware: 2.0.2 Build 20180118 rel.38979 (EU)
I'm having issues with my Archer 1200 v2 with random reboots...
It happens at least twice a day. It takes 1 to 2 minutes to come back up again.
When this happens the lights of the router behave like a reboot.
When I check system logs, the logs are only from the last 2 minutes.
Checked the power supply (it's the original one).
Checked for firmware updates there is nothing newer than the installed one.
Router has around 6 months.
I checked https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/109029 that mentions a beta firmware ? Is this the way to go ?
Any advice ?

Hi,
May I know which beta have you tried? What is the hardware version of your C1200, can you show me the device bottom label?
Sorry that there is still no ETA for the new firmware.

Hello,
After you upgraded to the latest beta firmware, have you tried to reset the router to its factory defaults and reconfigure it from scratch? If not yet, please give it a go and confirm again.
How often does this auto-reboot issue happen? How many devices are connected to it most of the time? What if you try to reduce some high-load clients, will it be better?
Thanks.

1) yes, i format and restore default setting after i've installed beta.
2) the rebooting does this at least once a day, maybe even more. I think there will be a dozen or so connected devices.

Hello, if this is the case, it is suggested to contact the local tech support to request a replacement (if it is still in warranty):

I'm really sad because that beta firmware (20180308, on my C1200 v2) didn't solve the reboot problem. I also done the method of factory reset and reconfigure, but the router keeps rebooting at least once a day. The fun fact is that I only use the WiFi with a maximum of 3 devices simultaneously. I'm very disappointed, I don't think I will buy TP-Link routers in the future.
