ts like a router with just 1 LAN port. If I connect a switch to the LAN port, I could have a few computers using the Internet connection

No, then you must back to the router configuration and make something with DMZ or virtual server, because your ISP give you only one public IP address in this session..

I mean, the TD-8616 that I have is a router. I was just explaining Joy that this device is not only a bridge, it can act as a router.

Right now it is acting like a router, it has DHCP, NAT, etc and I will make the test to switch to bridge mode and configure the PPPoE in my PC. I will report back in a couple of days.

I finally could setup the TP-8616 as a bridge and could connect using PPPoE in the PC. The Public IP Address is on the PC network card.

My last question will be, how do I access the TPLink Web Interface? Using USB? Is there any other option?

I know only local IP address mode, before make broadband connection.
