Model: AC50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.6 Build 20200303 rel.63157(4155)

Both phones occasionally "connect" but usually display the "Internet may not be available" error message.

Happens on both 2.4 and 5 GHz .. if I give phones a static IP and configure the router as the DNS, they "connect" but are still unable to access the internet.

I have tried forcing all combinations of WPA-PSK, WPA_PSK2, TKIP and AES as well as "no security" but it doesn't appear to make any difference.

I have also tried reducing support to 802.11 b/g/n and a/n/ac

Everything else on the network appears to be okay.  I have Windows 10 PCs (both hard-wired and wireless) and apple devices which all appear to be okay.

I have tried connecting my netgear wireless router (WNR2200) WAN port to the AX50 and connecting via the wireless on that .. which seems to make the samsungs happy.

I notice there is a firmware Archer AX50(AU)_V1_200114 .. should I be using this in Australia?  I'm not sure whether that indicates a difference between US and AUS firmwares?

(My hardware is marked Archer AX50(US) V1.0)

arrrgh!!

Edit: it may not actually be that everything else connected wirelessly is pain free .. I'm making a concerted effort to use nothing but wireless today and I seem to be experiencing some unreliability (sometimes web pages refuse to load and require refreshing) on wireless (5GHz) Windows 10 boxes ..

To the extent that I can look up a web-page on my windows 10 wirelessly connected PC and get the "This site can’t be reached" message straight after looking for the same site on a wired PC and it succeeding.  I can go-back-and-forth between the two and the wireless one eventually loads it.

Edit: definitely seems to be affecting Windows 10 boxes .. this morning my wireless only Windows 10 PC would not load images on Teams until I had connected an ethernet cable :(
