Does the Archer C80 support WDS?
Does the Archer C80 support WDS?
Hello,
Does the C80 support WDS bridging?
If yes, how do I enable it?
The entire "System Parameters" section seems to be missing on the C80.
When I search, I get this:
WDS bridging is the sole reason I purchased the router.
It also seems that the firmware on the website is OLDER than what my device came with. I actually downgraded. Not that it matters because WDS is still missing.

Hi, we have recently released a new firmware that adds the support for WDS, you can install it on your C80 to confirm if you can set it up to extend the existing network:

My c80 is on 1.5.7 Build 210308 Rel.60033n(4555) and there is no WDS setting anywhere. I've checked numerous times.
Am I missing something? I get the feeling the UI of my c80 is borked somehow.

If you are on the latest 1.5.7 version, there should be WDS feature under Advanced > Wireless > WDS, please confirm again.
BTW, is the Archer C80 working as the main router, or it is working as an Access Point? This WDS can only be found when the C80 is in router mode.

I just purchased C80 US Ver 1.0 and updated it to latest firmware which is the latest as per website. I see WDS option in router mode, however I can't get it to work. I want to use it to extend my jiofi range (NOT Jiofiber). The configuration of jiofi is as follows:
Now the configuration on C80 is as follows:
If I change the IP Address here to 192.168.225.21 or 192.168.225.250 the problem still persists.
The thing is whatever i do it never connects.
Please help me solve this issue, I have broken down giving 8 straight hours to make this work but nothing is working....please tell me what a i doing wrong?
Awaiting your reply,
please do reply,
sincerely,
Shukba

Hello, are all other wireless devices connecting to the jiofi3 wireless network fine? Be sure there is no special setting on the jiofi3 network that may block the new device to connect.
Meanwhile, please assign a fixed channel on the jiofi3, which is automatic now as per the screenshot you atteched, you can choose channel 1/6/11, you can run a Wi-Fi analyzer to find one with the least congestion with others.
Please follow the guide below to review all the basic settings on the C80:

Note: the web GUI may be different with models, you can find the WDS feature under Advanced > Wireless > WDS.
