Model: Archer A10
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hello,

Does the C80 support WDS bridging?

If yes, how do I enable it?

The entire "System Parameters" section seems to be missing on the C80.

When I search, I get this:

WDS bridging is the sole reason I purchased the router.

It also seems that the firmware on the website is OLDER than what my device came with. I actually downgraded. Not that it matters because WDS is still missing.

@gnaik HI there,

No. Archer C80 doesn't had WDS Bridge Function.

Please check before you buy a router the "Wireless Function"

this are from Archer C80 Datasheets:
· Wireless Function: Enable/Disable Wireless Radio, WMM

This are the from AC1750 Archer c7 v5

· Wireless Function: Enable/Disable Wireless Radio, WDS Bridge, WMM, Wireless Statistics

If you see you can check it say "WDS Bridge"

So. sadly Archer C80 doesn't had that feature.

Regards

@Angelorien Thank for the quick reply. Don't know why tplink would drop such a feature which is available in basic models

@gnaik No problem men. Happy to help.
I bought the Router without cheking that. Because i assume ALL Tplink Routers had that feature.
But clearly now they are cutting launching products with less feature.

Also. Please check if you can change the "firmware" of your Router. Ddwrt or openwrt are more stable.

Consult. Are you trying to connecto to router for been able to use your full speed bandwitch ?

becasue after i bought the Ac7 Archer. I want to consume my 300mbps internet. But this one had a limit of 150mbps MAX. so sadly i had to use a UTP Cable to enjoy my internet at full speed. :(

I think after you wrote this, TP-Link erease the "Wireless Function" section. Now we can't even see the wireless function at all.. Now I can argue that even my Archer A6 v2.0 does have WDS

@ke_mul
Hi there,
i double check the AC80 Datasheets and still show

https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202010/20201015/Archer%20C80((EU&US)%201.0_Datasheet.pdf

· Wireless Function: Enable/Disable Wireless Radio, WMM

And i check yours

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/archer-a6/

https://static.tp-link.com/2019/201903/20190308/Archer%20A6(EU)2.0_Datasheet.pdf

Wireless Function: Enable/Disable Wireless Radio, WDS Bridge, WMM, Wireless Statistics

so, Where do you say is not showing the Wireless Function?

@Angelorien

Could you please, upload the 1.5.0 Build 201022 Rel.53112n(4555) firmware for Archer C80 (EU) v1? I can't seem to find it anywhere. However, I did get to install it on one of my C80s (via OTA update). Today I purchased a second one and wanted to use WDS (implemented in 1.5.0) to link them together, but the "latest" firmware according to this new router is 1.4.9 Build 201003 Rel.55402n(4555). So could you please, post a link to this (1.5.0) version? Or upload it here so we can download it directly?
