TP-Share folder not showing all files and folders
I have a USB HDD plugged into my router and used it to successfully share all the files to all my smart devices. Recently, I don't know why, it doesn't display all files and folders. On my laptop is the same. However, the full folder sda1(\\tp-share) shows everything. The issue is with the TP-Share folder that the router makes available on the network to smart TVs and smart phones. My TV now only has about eight movies showing available instead of the 100+. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!

Hi, how many media files (images and videos) in the HDD?
Can you check if you have the same problem when you access the AX11000's Media Server (not the SMB network share) via "Windows Media Player"?
Is there a hidden folder named ".TPDLNA" on the HDD that contains a file "files.db"? You could try to delete that *.db file (or rename or move, if you want to keep it for later) and then replug the HDD to your router and check if that makes any difference.
BTW, what is the format of this HDD?

@AAX I have the same router and same situation. Very frustrating as the number of files on the HDD is irrelevant if the DLNA work. This is a router issue as the same drive worked flawlessly on two other routers. I hope the fix this because it will make me return the router. This is an expensive, high performance router to be without this basic feature.

I am using an Archer C5400X router. Recently added a USB HDD (WD My Passport 4TB). But the problem I am facing when try to access media files using DLNA client, could not see all the supported files whereas wusing Windows and Mac PC I can access all the files.
I tried to solve this problem by deleting the files.db file from .TPDLNA folder but each time it's only refresh with only 4,426 files of my whole library. Followings are the details of my hardware.
Hardware Version: ArcherC5400X v1.0
Firmware Version: 1.1.2 Build 20191223 rel.73956(5553)
USB HDD: WD My Passport 4TB
HDD File Format: NTFS
Total Media Files in the TP Share: 49,112 (however only showing 4,426 files any DLNA client [TV, Blue-ray Player, etc])

I have the same problem too. I have an Archer c5v, where I connected SEAGATE STEA5000402 (5 TB - EXFAT) via its USB port.
I can see the USB plugged in and enabled sharing via the router UI; however, there are no files listed on the browser.
Please assist.

This is a known issue for TP-Link users. But a "feature" for TP-Link. The mini-DLNA server has a limitation - it can process no more than 10,000 files and folders. TP-Link is modestly silent about this. As far as I understand, there will be no fix for this problem.

@Samh321 I have the same issue with AX5400 (Archer AX73). It shows random folders on my Samsung TV when opened via TP-Share, but there are much more folders there. On my windows PC when I open \\TP-share it shows all folders.

I had the same problem. The files I copied to my shared USB Drive just disappeared!!
But I found a solution.
I had to create a new Folder on the USB Drive and copy the Files to that Folder.
Not sure why this was necessary but it solved my problem...

I have the exact same problem as well. I have the Archer AX90 router. Tried it on two seperate USB drives and the same issue. I can browse all my files/folders from the \\tp-share file share path but the streaming option does NOT show all the folders or files. I do have well over 10,000 Mp3's and Mp4's on the drives.
