Try to reboot the Windows 10 PC, and you can contact its tech support to update the driver of the network adapter.
Besides, please ensure that the firmware of the RE450 is up to date.
Good day.

I recently purcahsed the TP-Link AC1750 RE450 Range Extender and am having the same issue. I have this connected to all my mobiles phones however my notebook (laptop) will not connect. I get the error "windows can't get nework settings from your router. I have shut down my laptop and it doesn't make a difference. I certainly don't want to mess up that I FINALLY was able to get my mobile phones connected (which took 2 hours in working on this to get connected).

Good day.
Sorry for the delay.
May I know the model number of your main router as well?
Have you tried to set up the static IP address(within the IP range of the main router) on the Windows 10 with killer AC1550 to see what happened?
Can you help me check the system info on the computer as well: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2722/;
Thank you!
