Archer C7 v5 sporadic drop 5-10 packets after last firmware update
Hello,
I use my router near year or more. At the start of 2020, I did a firmware upgrade to ver.1.0.11 (maybe from 1.0.7).
Now when I use without hard traffic with wi-fi and cable. The router lost connection for the 5-10 (ping) packet. The WAN interface gets a new IP address by DHCP and runs for the next 5 to 30 minutes. Sometimes the router doesn't get IP address and I reload it to may to do this. When starting this problem it's repeatable to my lite workaround. Turn off the router for 5 minutes. After that, the router work normally for a random time may be hours or days but started to drop packets again and etc.
This looks like overheat chip as after cooling starts work normally for some interval.
What I do to this moment. With my ISP we are changed my MAC address to this on WAN int. of the router (not cloned). Change IP address which receives by DHCP.
We made Factory defaults for a router but nothing not help me.
Test with the router and with a direct cable to the laptop. With laptop not drop, with router drop packets.
My last idea is to downgrade the router to the previous firmware. Any other ideas?
Can you advise me on how to proceed?
