TP-Link TL-WN722N disconnects from usb
Hello, recently my USB TP-Link adapter started disconnecting from usb, not from the network. I hear the sound from windows for disconnecting from USB, shortly after this either connects or start to disconnect and connect repeatedly, until I manualy disconnect and reconect the adapter to the usb port. Im also using an usb extention cord, 5m. Tried to change the usb ports but no effect. Any ideas or someone with simillar problem?

Hello, when did you buy this adapter? Does it work fine before? Did you download any new software/antivirus on the computer? Did you update your windows system recently?
You mentioned you were using a 5 meters usb extension cord, if you take it away, plug the adapter into the USB port directly, do you have the same issue?
It is suggested to test the adapter on another computer.
Good day.

Hello Stella,
I bought the adapter before and year and a half. Yes it worked fine before. Ive installed only programs for coding/programming. Yeas ive updated my windows system recently , they were important updates i guess. Ive changed 2 usb extention cords, no result, i cant try it without because ill not have range to connect to the network and actually test it properly. ATM i dont have other computer at my place and dont have access to my othe 2 PCs, due corona lockdown.
Have a good day/night!

Thanks for the info. Maybe the windows update cause this issue. You can try to plug the adapter into another USB port, or reinstall the driver below to give it a go.

@Stella.Q
Where can I find the drivers for windows? I don't have an optical drive so I can't use the CD it came with, I'm also having the same problem with it disconnecting, I tried updating the drivers through windows device manager and it said they are up to date. I've just bought it by the way.
