Model: Archer C5400X
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.2 Build 20191223 rel.73956(5553)

Recd router 3 days ago, finished change-over from old router yesterday. Mid size home network: 5 wired computers and 2 NASs, 9 IP cam, 3 phones, 2,tablets, a MFC. When I performed the firmware upgrade to 1.1.2 Build 20191223 rel.73956(5553) all 9 my of my wireless D-link IPcams (various DCS-93xL models) disconnected and cannot reconnect.

It is as if the router decided to block all the cameras. If i cant get this working again, I shall return router and drop in the old one.

@Genesis.Phrozen

Update: i rolled back the firmware to the original version. which I assume was 'Archer C5400X(EU JP US)_V1_180904.bin from your support site.  I power cycled all the IP cams and they connected.. AFter about 3-4 mins they all 9 disconected and since then they have not been all connected at same time..

Is this problem a known bug?

Hi, I don't think it is a bug; even though the IP cams disconnected from the Archer C5400X after firmware upgrade, while other wireless devices still worked well.

If it is okay for you to reinstall the latest firmware, we can do some troubleshooting and try to figure it out.

1. Update the firmware and verify whether you can reconnect the IP cams to it. Try to reboot them first.

2. You can forget the network profile on IP cam and reconnect to it.

3. Or you can change the wireless settings to give it a go, like wireless channel, wireless network name and password.

4. Besides, you can reset the camera and reconnect it.

Good day.

@Genesis.Phrozen

2.4ghz wireless has now failed completely. It sometimes turns on for a min. or two.  Tech support chat was unable to resolve problem. Seems like the 2.4 radio may have failed.

All your suggestions align with the trouble-shooting I did.

I have an Issue number to use when I am able to do a factory reset. Because of corona work at home directives I can't do that while my wife is doing tech support online/on call. Since we do need printer and cams running, I have had to reconnect my older D-link Dir-885L to use as a wifi Extender to get 2.4ghz working..
