I have just bought the TP-Link Deco m9 3 pack, and the TP-Link switch 8 Ports Network IGMP, 10/100/1000 Mbps.

and want to besure my setup is right, before I start.

please let me know.

 

Setup:

(existing router put in to bridge/modem mode only. Deco m9 in router mode.)

Coax cable modem - - - Deco m9(main) - - -  TP link switch:

                                                                               Deco m9 (slave) - - - Tv direct cable into switch.

                                                                               Deco m9 (slave).

                                                                               Computer direct cable into switch.

 

 

Another question:

Is it important to connect the deco m9 wireless before i connect with cable?

Hello, you can locate them like the diagram attached. The Deco M9 Plus can connect to each other by wired cable or wireless, and you can plug in a switch between the two Decos. 

 

As for the second question, it does not matter. You can connect the slave Deco to the main Deco by wireless or wired cable to configure.
