Model: Archer VR300

Hardware Version: V1

Firmware Version: 1.1.0.0.8.0

I have repeatedly tried to get my VR300 to link to the internet.....it never gets past the Connection Test...and gives me Error no 1. I am in NZ and am using Spark vdsl. I have no problem linking to the internet (via the same cable) with my Asus DSL AC68U. I have tried this on the VR300 numerous times and it always fails at the same point.

I thought that if I updated the firmware manually, that the issue might be resolved. However the modem will not accept firmware version 1.2 - which when I download it looks to be be V1_181214 and not version 1.2.

I am not impressed and deeply annoyed at what should be a simple process. What am I missing?

I am wondering if this Router is damaged...none of the lights (apart from the little orange circle) ever come on!

Hello, sorry to respond late.

Please ensure that you use the original power adapter.

And you can hold the reset button for 10s with the router powered on and verify whether it works.

Besides, may I know have you install the firmware for V1.20?
