TL-WPA281 Wireless Doesn't work at 300Mbps / 40Mhz
Region : UnitedKingdom
Model : TL-WPA281
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version :
ISP :
I have a WPA281 paired to a PA211. Ethernet works fine. I can only get the wireless to work reliably in 20Mhz mode. This means I am only getting 150Mbs so may as well have bought the cheaper WPA271! The other config options are 11bgn (I need g + n), WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK security and Channel 1.
When I enable 40Mhz mode, the second channel (5 I think) keeps dropping out. I used inSSIDer and I could see the 2nd channel (channel 5) coming and going. inSSIDer shows there is very little interference on channel 5 or nearby channels. PCs struggle to connect and keep dropping connection.
My main wireless router is using channels 9 + 13 so there should be no interference.
Any one else had problems?
When I set it to use 20Mhz just on Channel 1 it seems to be ok.
Thinking of returning it and getting another one or downgrading to a WPA271 and save some money if I can't get 300Mbs to work.
