Firmware Version: 1.1.8

Hi, I have a Deco M4 Mesh wifi kit, configured in AP. mode, I have 4 units

They are all cabled with Ethernet Backhaul on Gigabit interfaces.

 

Wifi speed is ok, but I see strange things with devices.

I have 2 HP printers, which are on the Wifi, but they are not in the online devices. They have fixed IP's and also out of DHCP Scope. They appear offline in the app.

I have 7 sonos speakers on the Wifi, but they are not in the online devices. (On DHCP). They appear Offline in the app.

Several other devices are not in the device list as online.

 

The fast roaming is disabled.

Does someone has an explanation why i don't see all devices which are connected to the Wifi?

Its not only related to 2.4/5 Ghz band

Hello, do these devices obtain IP addresses and gateways with DHCP? 

 

Try to grab one of the devices which does not show up as online and try to access internet, like downloading, or streaming and verify whether it shows up.

Hi ,

 

There are devices on the Wifi with static IP's als also with DHCP.

In my understanding this shloud not make a difference, as long as they are using the Wifi?

@Kevin_Z Should the Sonos and Printers be online / Visible in the app? I would suppose, a device, statis IP or DHCP, should both be visible... I changed 1 printer to 2.4 Ghz (b/g wifi) and it came visible in the app...
