Archer C6 keeps losing internet connection
Hi there! I recently bought the Archer C6 and it keeps losing internet connection (every one or two hours).
The internet led goes orange and I have to turn off /on the router so it start working again.
Didn't find any solution on Tp-link forums to now 😐

Thanks for your information; we will do some troubleshooting to locate this issue and try to fix it.
1. What is the current network diagram?
2. Does wired and wireless connection both stop working at the same time?
3. Try to login to the web UI of Archer C6 and show us a screenshot of the advanced-status page when WAN led shows orange.
4. In the meantime, please connect your computer to the modem directly, bypass the Archer C6 and verify whether you can access internet. If it works, you can connect it back to the C6 by wired cable and clone the MAC address.
5. Besides, please ensure that the firmware is up to date.
Good day.

@Kevin_Z, apparently cloning the notebook Mac address solved the problem! I went through the first 24 hours without disconnecting😀!
I don't know why it happened, since my ISP has dynamic IP (optical fiber) and my old Tp-link 300mb never had this issue.
Well, I hope that we've nipped this problem in the bud now!
Thanks guys!

@NeatNit, I did as you said (I was actually avoiding that way as I would have to reconfigure all of my 7 devices). It's working up to now. Let's see how it goes through the day.
Thanks.

@Hillsman Did the problem get solved after factory reset.

@JSN, unfortunately no...
Last night it lost internet connection twice in an hour... I just wake up today and orange led again...
I've seen a lot of complaints like that about others Tp-link routers, and it seems that nobody got a definitive solution.
Maybe a new firmware update would do the trick.

The problem still keeps going...
I have two more days before the time to get my money back expires... I'm sad because when it's working, it really has an amazing reach and speed...

@Kevin_Z, I did as you asked and I hope it will do the trick:
The status is as follows in the pics below;
Both connections goes out at the same time (wired an wireless);
Connecting the modem directly to the notebook did bring the internet back to that specific device;
I cloned the Mac address from the notebook;
Returning internet cable back to the router didn't solve the problem, led was still orange.
I restarted the router and it's working for now on (as it aways do for a while after turning it off/on).

Hi.
I have exactly the same issue with my C6.
I'm on newest firmware.
Every couple of days I'm loosing internet connection.
Simple AP reboot doesn't fix anything, I need to switch modes to make it run without factory reset.
If you need me to do something particular to help track down the issue, let me know.
