Model: Adapter
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.1

I need the change one of my Deco M5/1300 from router to access point mode because of it is connected via Cpe210 antennas & we have been adviced to this by the resellers support desk. If I do it in this way it did not work:

0. The actual Deco is connected via cable to the main Deco.

1. Remove the actual Deco in the app, the led changed to yellow then flashing blue.

2. In the Deco app, chose the create a new network.

3. Found the Deco and so on went ok until, connection to the new ntw, the operation then fails... Led red, Tried several times, with same result.

But - if I connect the actual Deco to a non Deco network, I can create a new ntw & can change the mode to access point and after that move it as a access point to the Deco mesh...

Any comments on above, would be appreciated ;)

@GoranAhlberg

What is the current network diagram?

Do you want to create a separate Deco network and this Deco works in AP mode?

What have you done yet and what about the correspondingly results?

Good day.

@Kevin_Z

Hi Kevin, current ntw diag belov

We want to use the Deco unit Bastu in House 2 in AP-mode, connected to the mesh via the Cpe-link, because difficulties to connect to the Deco-mesh,via the Cpe-link, using Deco Bastu in router mode.

What have we done so far?

- Updated Deco-units to latest fw ok.

- Now we can see that Deco-unit Bastu Not using the Cpe-link, using unrelaible connection to Deco in House 3 instead.

- Connected a PC to Cpe in House 2, good connection to Internet on the same subnet as the Deco-mesh 192.168.68.

The question is: How do I change the Deco Bastu from router to AP-mode, not affecting the other?? Tried to do it with my home Deco M5 mesh, only succeeded when I do it with the Deco connected to a net isolated from the Deco-mesh.

Hello, thanks for your reply.

It appears that there is a simple way; first you can move the Deco in house 2 to house 1 and connect it to the main Deco as a slave Deco and then you can remove it back to house 2 and connect to the CPE by wired cable.

Or you can hard reset it and connect it to the CPE by wired cable and create a new network via the Deco app, once it works well, you can switch the operation mode to the AP mode via Deco APP.

May it help.
