Model: TL-WA850RE
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

My router has a speed of 30-40 on WiFi but via the extender it's only about 13-14. The signal is good with all 5 of the blue lights on. I would like to know how I can improve the speed of the extender?

@Stebbo

Hello, may I know how far away between the main router and the extender?

With computer connected to the extender, please run the speed test and show us the results; meanwhile, please click here to get the wireless negotiation speed.

Next to the TL-WA850RE, with computer or cellphone connects to the main router's 2.4GHz what is the speed you can get?

And you can adjust the wireless settings of the main router to optimize the wireless performance; and you can move the extender closer to the main router.

Besides, please ensure that the firmware of the extender is up to date.

May it help.
