Deco M5 not finding Phillips Hue bridge

Hi,
I have an issue whereby my deco M5 cannot seem to find my phillips hue hub.
The hue hub is directly cabled to one of the ports of the Deco, but when I use the deco App to add a 'Smart Device' it searches and then comes back with "No Device Found".
The hue hub and deco are functioning separately OK.
The Deco is in Access Point mode.
Is there anything else I can try? I'd like to play with the automation features.

It's working as a router, and everything is updated.
I'm not looking to use them as access points, my modem is in Bridge mode.

The date of web firmware build is the same 20190813 for V2.20 what I already have. any other ideas?

@TP-Link_Deco I opened https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/239404 with a similar case. Is the Philips firmware incompatible with the whole Deco family or a subset?

I'm experiencing problems on the m9 plus
hue hub is not on the devices list in the Deco app ?
registred as a hub when you search for light etc.
so it works and i can see in the hue app that internet connection is up an running. So hue bridge works. Deco m9 works , but the Deco app does not show hue bridge as a normal device where you can change the name and such..
