Model: Archer A7
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version:

I hardwire my laptop to my modem and reieve the advertised speed of my provider (and then some).  I hardwire my laptop to this router via same ethernet cable and recieve up to 150 Mbps less than my advertised speed from provider (500Mbps).  Is this common or should I recieve the speed from my provider on both examples since they are both hardwired?  Should the Lan ports on the A7 provide the 500 Mbps that the modem sends out?  The only differences between the two options is a cat 5e cable from modem to router and the router itself.  Are there settings in the router that I have to adjust to maximize hardwired speed?  Anything else?
