Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.3

Update to 1.3.1 resulted in slow internet. With the old firmware I had no trouble at all. I have tried to downgrade with the web UI but that doesn't work.

What I did find out is that there is a 1.3.3 version available at the Deco support page ( https://static.tp-link.com/2019/201910/20191014/Deco%20M5_V2_190904.zip ).

It only mentioned Optimized total performance. I have installed this version but still slow wifi.

So I still want to roll back to <v1.3.1 Can someone tell me the right procedure for downgrading the firmware, so without the webUI.

Thanks

@Snoekel

Hello, the firmware 1.3.1 or above cannot degraded to 1.3.0 or below due to there are some important changes made.

While we can do some troubleshooting regarding to the slow speed issue and try to locate it and fix it.

1. Who is your ISP and what is the bandwidth you paid?

2. What is the current network diagram?

3. What is the actual speed you can get from the Deco?

4. With your computer connected to the modem directly, please verify the actual speed you can get and click here to get the wired link speed ;

5.You can run the speedtest function via the Deco app and show us the result.

6. Besides, please connect your smart phone to the Deco's wifi and login to the deco app; click the settings button and then choose advanced>>IPv4>>Internet connection type and uncheck obtain DNS automatically and change the primary DNS to 8.8.8.8 and click save.

After that, please run the speedtest® again and check whether it work.
