Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 3.15.3 Build 180305 Rel.51282n

Hello Guys,

I'm having a problem with a device that needs a UDP timeout of min 180 sec.
I cannot find the UDP timeout option somewhere, so i suppose its not available.
What is the standard setting for thios udp timeout?

Because all the ports are forwarded, and it's still not working.
IF i test this with my own laptop and listen to the ports, i can see online that both TCP and UDP 53 and 8883 are open.
So it must be the udp timeout that is causing this problem

I did test this straight behind my modem with a public ip on the device without any port forwarding and it works.
It stops working when i put the device behind my Archer.

Regards,
Thomas

@Thomasvd

Hello Thomas,

Theoretically, it is not caused by the UDP timeout; we can do some troubleshooting first to locate this issue and try to fix it.

Have you enabled port forwarding for some specific device but no avail?

What is the current internet IP address of Archer C7?

In the same network, please test whether you can access it with this device's IP address and port number; meanwhile, you can use the WAN IP plus port number to test.

Besides, please use telnet to test:

1. in the same network, please go to run—cmd—telnet lan ip port number

2. in external network, please run—cmd—telnet wan ip port number

Note: Please show us the pictures of the test results.

Good day.

Dear Kevin,

Have you enabled port forwarding for some specific device but no avail? : Yes, port 53 and 8883 both on TCP and UDP for controlling a door.
Device: Chamberlain MyQ starterkit

What is the current internet IP address of Archer C7?

WAN: 109.129.131.143 (static, pingable)

LAN: 192.168.0.1

DHCP: yes

Device for port forwarding: 192.168.0.210

Ports to open TCP/UDP: 53, 8883

I will attach some screenshots and a movie of testing:

@Thomasvd

Did this ever get solved?

I have the same issue with MYQ and their support says it's a router problem.

@ghasul

no, it is a router issue.

i tried everything, dmz, all ports manually, it just wont work.... it is 100% the router.

u could try a tweaked firmware?

there must be some setting we cannot change that causes this.

tried with another router and it worked.

tried straight behind the modem and it worked.

@Thomasvd

I tried a Netgear AC750 router and it did the same thing.  It could not connect to the MYQ server.  If it's a router issue, why doesn't TP-Link fix it?
