Yep. Pretty much.

I would say though that their support was good and responsive and offered remote sessions to help solve this + offered a modification after I reported I had the issue again.

Buy yeah, not updating the latest and already old firmware to fix such an issue is just not acceptable.

Just to be sure, you are now using the firmware from 2017 without any disconnects?

@LinkMe

I'm using:

2.0.1 Build 20171121 Rel. 61622

I had to downgrade from 2.0.3 Build 20180810 Rel. 62903 I think. It required getting the one before that one (think it was a beta one) and the old one) and downgrade gradually.

As for disconnections, I'm keeping a log:

Dowgrade: 19/01/2020

First disconnect that was router related: 29/02/2020

Second disconnect that was router related: 03/05/2020

I was supplied with a modified version of the old one after I reported I had a router related disconnection, but I didn't install it yet. Wanted to see how stable it is with the old FW.

I have the links on another PC if you need them.

@thornton

Thank you very much for the information! I've now sent them this

"Archer C2300 v1. Sporadic disconnected from the internet. I've done several troubleshooting reports to my ISP. They say there isn't any problems with the service. So it has to be the router. The debug log doesn't say ****. To regain internet all I have to do is press the Renew under NETWORK/ADVANCED/IPv4.

Using the latest available firmware from 2018. I have no interest in downgrading to that one from 2017. One reason being that I talked to someone that has the same issue as me. He downgraded and still gets disconnected so.

You guys have 3 options.

Option #1(Keep me as customer)

A) Fix the firmware.

B) Supply some sort of debugging tools so we can figure out the problem.

Option #2 (Keep me as customer)

A) Refund the router and l'll buy another one from you.

B) Send a replacement

Option #3 (Lose me as customer)

A) Tell me to downgrade firmware

B) Have a incompetent agent Contact me

C) Tell me to do a factory reset (because I haven't changed anything sense I bought it and it has been working fine until about 2 months ago."

@LinkMe

After hours of search today i find someone sharing the issue,

I also have a C2300 and my 5Ghz will drop exactly every hour at the exact same time (xx:30)

My 2.4 Ghz has crashed once today but my 5Ghz did already 7 times since i checked...

I'm pending contact from my ISP to see on their end but this seems extremely weird

Different devices are all dropping at the same time.

Drivers are up to date

Firmware as well
