Want use 3 x TL-WA901ND in a 3 floor house: works or not
I am planning to use in a 3 floor house 3 x TL-WA901ND to create WLAN on every level. Does that work? Anything to consider?
The Router is located in the Cellar where the ISPs installation and the LAN distribution is also located.
I want to use all 3 with the same SSID.
Any tips and hints for that plan?
Thanks in advance for quick feedback.
Michael

Hello, how do you want to connect them to each other? By wired cable or wireless?
To get better performance, it is suggested to connect them to the main router directly by wired cable if possible; or it would be better if there is an ethernet port in each floor which comes from the main router.
And you can customize the wireless settings to make them use the same network name and password.
Best regards.

Hello, considering you want to connect the 901ND to the main router by wired cable to boost the wifi signal, you can configure it as the access point mode.
Below is the instruction:

Now network with EAP is up and running.
Topologie in the house:
Cellar: Fritz Cable Box (Router) / Wireless installed.
Basement covered by a Fritz Repeater
1. Floor: nothing
2. Floor: EAP 225 installed. Got the same SSID and password as the Router.
Interesting was, that when moving with a wireless device (smart phone) from basement to 2nd floor it takes for the first time to provide SSID and network password to the EAP to access, despite of configuration as an AP in the same network.
After that when moving between basement and 2nd floor it takes a lot of time, even a manual SSID selection on the wireless dev (smart phone).
How can this come?
Any hints are welcome!
