Model: TL-WPA8630 KIT
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hello,

I have TL-WPA8630P KIT V1, which Firmware should be used for the TL-PA8010P that is included in the kit? I guess it is the firmware on the TL-PA8010P support page but it is not really clear, because there is also a support page for TL-WPA8630P KIT should this be used for both extenders in the kit?

Want to uppgrade the firmware because the TL-PA8010P has poor connection speed (less han 50Mbps) where anohter extender TL-PA9020P has much better speeds (over 400Mbps) in the same place. What could cause something like this?

The adapters are on different frequency spektrums due to different pib files which contain the frequency spectrum. NVM firmware files are the same for both products ( TL-WPA8630P and TL-PA8010P) due to same powerline chip. Tp-link support is not aware of it and can`t really support their own products.

I uppgraded to the latest firmware for my PA9020P, WPA8630p and PA8010P, and the powerline light is still occasionally red but not always? Never had the red light while I only had two PA9020P. The TP-Link utility shows speeds of about 400Mbps for all lines, have yet not tested real transfer speeds.

I really dont understand what the different frequency spektrums are, or why the powerline light is red but my ISP speed is only 30MB and it seems the powerline adaptors can handle it so maybe I can live with it...
