@bengtone I did not measure speed or range before the update and will not now, that has always been good enough for me. If that is what you're asking about.

I do have the new features now, like seeing which device is connected to which Deco. So that's fine.

Parental Control is still working very erratically in my double NAT setup with a Fritzbox-7490 main router. I was kinda hoping this would improve too, but it appears I still have to remove the router functionality from the Fritzbox to get this solved. Hoping that will not kill my TV and phone functionality.

I think I'm not going to update, the difference in days between the 1.4.0 beta and this new release version is 5 days between the 2.

i think they will be the same except they disabled wan ping on this new update.

And the build date was 3 months ago.

@bengtone I don't consider myself a pro-user. I will not be testing every feature thoroughly, I can only say it works. Wifi works, the Deco app connects. Everything looks fine.

I did the upgrade from v 1.2.10 to 1.4.0 Rel 53529, and it went very smooth. Some guidance for those of you who have not upgraded yet:

You have to download two zip files: the new firmware and a utility. See the links in previous posts in this thread. A step-by-step upgrade manual is included in the firmware zip file. You don't have to connect via a UTP cable to the Deco's. Just connect via wifi to one Deco (the manual says it must be the Main Deco, but I did not do that and it worked fine) and the utility does all the work. Be patient for about five minutes in the last utility screen, the Deco's will reboot and that takes some time.
