Connect TL-WA855RE to your router thru ethernet

Hi,
I have my router down stairs and my extender up stairs, is it possible to connect the extender thru the ethernet port? I have thernet ports around the house so that would be good to get the best speed up stairs with the extender.

For your information, the TL-WA855RE supports access point mode; that means you can connect it to the main router( ethernet port) to boost wifi signal.
