Deco M9 Plus, why only 1.2.10?
I have 4 units of the M9 plus, installed in two different houses. None are showing the 1.3.0 update which is mentioned in these forums. Instead I have 1.2.10 installed on all four (and my local website MY doesn't even list 1.2.10...)
How to update?

For your information, 1.2.10 is the firmware version number for Deco M9 plus V2, while 1.3.0 is for V1; They do not share the same firmware.
And 1.2.10 cannot be upgraded to 1.3.0; for the Deco M9 plus, it is the latest already.
Besides, it seems that the local MY official website does not upload the latest firmware, while cause we push the firmware via cloud feature, you can get it from the Deco app directly.
May it help.

@Kevin_Z One of my Deco is v2 while another is v1 (both bought from the same dealer at the same time, but in different packages).
Is there any compatibility issues? Because I recall when my v1 was connected as the main router I could see which deco a client was connected to (only on that deco, not the other one).
Will v2 be updated at some point?

There is no compatibility issue beteween Deco M9 plus V1 and V2. Instead, different Deco products and different hardware versions can work together. So you can be assured of it.
Back your case, you can check the current firmware version of the V1 unit via the Deco app, if it is not the latest one, you can configure it as the main Deco and connect it to the modem directly, after that you update it.
The instruction to change slave Deco to main Deco is : https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2400/

@Kevin_Z even when I'm standing next to the slave Deco it shows the same version number (that of the main Deco). How do I force the app to refer to the slave deco?

Per I said before, you can configure the slave Deco which is V1 as the main Deco and then verify whether you can update the firmware.

Still the same, please show us the pictures below:
1. The pictures of the back labels of the two Decos.
2. The pictures of the firmware version number of them.
Thanks in advance.
