Model: Archer C2300
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 2.0.3

Just picked up the C2300 router and was curious if it has some built in setting in which it will spin-down an attached USB HDD when inactive for a certain time, and if it doesn't, why not, and how do we get this feature added? This is a must have ability for any device that manages HDD's with physical spinning disks for obvious wear reasons. I haven't been able to find anything that would lead me to believe it will spin-down disks but Im hoping.

@RicoRelic

There is no option to spin down a HDD drive for a certain time.

You can login to the web UI to disable the corresponding USB sharing options manually to turn it off.

May it help.
