Archer VR600 V2 Not working with TEDATA WE Space VDSL
Archer VR600 V2 Not working with TEDATA WE Space VDSL
My router is working in ADSL mode without any problem
BUT .. once i was shifted to TEDATA new VDSL Planes the hassel started
my router now connects in VDSL2 Modulation and syncs with following line stats
Current Rate (kbps) 1022 16377
Max Rate (kbps) 5936 59382
SNR Margin (dB) 29.1 25.1
Errors (pkts) 0 0
bur my speed is stuck at 16Mbs and refuses to go allthe way up to the 30 Mbs my plan affords
after very frustrating conversation with support team at WE the keep telling me my royter is showing
as an ADSL modem despite the fact it is connected in VDSL2 !!!
also i found another cases of the mentioned problem with that model too
It is very disappointing to give up on it and it is worth 1600 EGP for one of the lesse Huawei Hg630 offered
by the ISP....
is there any hope or was i fataly mistaken to count on TP link and i was dreadfully wrong to think it was FTW
Best regards

The Archer VR600 is a wireless gigabit VDSL modem router, so please be assured of it, we can do some troubleshooting to locate this issue and try to fix it.
1. Who is your ISP and what is the bandwidth you paid?
2. With computer connected to the vr600 directly, please test the speed for 3 times and show us the results.
3. In the meantime, please click here to get the wired negotiation speed.
Note: Steps are the same, but you need click ethernet connection.
4. Please show us a full screenshot of the Advanced-status page, especially the DSL part.
5. Try to change another telephone line to connect the VR600 and ensure that the firmware is up to date.
6. Besides, you can hard reset it and give it a go.
May it help and have a nice day.

Please update the modem firmware to the latest, which can be downloaded from the official website:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/archer-vr600/v2/#Firmware (If seems the firmware on some local website may not be published timely, you can get it from the global website)
Then upgrade it as this: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1756/
After that, reset the VR600 to factory defaults, then reconfigure it from scratch to confirm the speed again.

Turns out that WE Vdsl strongly pushing the sales of their in-house branded routers and that they some how putting some struggle to convince the customers that their non WE routers are faulty ....
So the work around you put a complaint for not obtaining the advertised speed provided ... pick up their test router -for free- which surly is WE branded then follow up with their tech support... they push to you the advertised speed and then return the test router ... hook up your Archer V600 ...then enjoy
